Leamington Spa was voted the happiest place to live in Britain by Rightmove and reported here by The Telegraph. We couldn’t agree more! Our town is a vibrant hot spot in the beautiful county of Warwickshire.
Home to many creative businesses, Leamington has been nicknamed “Silicon Spa” due to the higher than average proportion of digital media companies involved in games development, digital design and publishing. Warwick District Council currently holds plans to regenerate the South of Leamington to become the ‘creative quarter’.
We have a growing population of over 95 thousand people according to the last census in 2011. With the addition of University students, that number rises during term time. The government’s target of 60% of housing to be on brownfield land means reusing building space saves a significant amount of waste material and also adds to the history of the site. We see this as the basis of the character in this neighbourhood. We understand the complex local sensitivities in developing this site, often seen as defunct. We can’t let this happen – Leamington should be seen as the happiest place in Britain whether you’re in the north or the south of the river.
